About me
Hi, I’m Arlene, and I live in Aberdeenshire in the north east of Scotland.
I trained at the prestigious Clifton Practice, recognised as being a centre of excellence in hypnotherapy, achieving a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DSFH).
I’ve had a very varied working life, all positions involving working with the public, something I have always enjoyed. Through a combination of night school, remote learning during the pandemic and my most recent qualification in Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, coupled with a healthy dose of self learning along the way, I decided to take the leap to help others by setting up a private practice. Having a knowledge of different counselling techniques, I firmly believe that this particular approach is the method where I can make the biggest difference.
The approach I take is one of warmth, friendliness and supportiveness, while also gently challenging existing thought patterns when required. Occasionally we may find ourselves smiling and laughing along the way as we relax into the sessions.
Ultimately, my personal experiences and continued learning fuel a desire to help others overcome challenges and move towards a happier, positive and more fulfilling life. Seeing people grow and change in their own unique way is incredibly rewarding.
As a registered member of the Association of Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy (mAfSFH), I adhere to a strict Code of Conduct and Ethics and am fully insured.
